Contestant Application

Rules and regulations

All contestants will be between the ages of 13 – 26 years of age.

Any contestants that are minors must be registered by a parent and/or guardian.

Contestants may register anytime after 10:00 a.m. at the registration table.

All contestants will receive a Participant’s Sash which must be worn all day during the festival so that a contestant can be easily identified.

Contestants will intermingle with the festival attendees and ask people to vote for them by going to the Contest booth and depositing money in the box with their picture.

$1.00 equals 1 vote.

All contestants MUST furnish a picture of themselves for their box.

Any contestant seen collecting monies will be disqualified.

Monies should be deposited at the Miss Cinco De Mayo table which will be supervised at all times.

ALL MONEY MUST BE TURNED IN BY 6:00 P.M.

All monies will be counted and a Second Runner-Up, First Runner-Up and Miss Cinco De Mayo will be selected based on the total amount of money raised by the contestants.

ALL Contestants will be invited on to the stage for the announcement of the winner at 6:30 P.M.

All funds generated through this contest will be used for LULAC scholarships in accordance with the organization’s guidelines.
